Roboqbo's visible laboratory at Fico in Bologna
Bologna, Italy
Roboqbo is a leading Italian company in the design and production of systems for the processing of food raw materials.
In 2017, it opened its representative point at the Fico Eataly World shopping mall in Bologna with the intention of creating an on-sight laboratory and a point of experimentation and tasting of nectars, jams, mustards and spreadable creams produced with the cutting-edge technology of the parent company.
With the contribution of architect Nicola Balboni, our Technical Department designed and built the various components of the area, starting with the circular-shaped central island, equipped with refrigerated cells, worktops and a self-supporting shelf complete with stools to recreate a tasting corner.
On one side of the stand are the drop showcases and a large shelving unit with LED-lit glass shelves, where the finished products are displayed.
The suspended ceiling follows the shape of the central counter and is characterised by asymmetrical cuts arranged for LED strips.
The real centrepiece of the stand is located beyond the glass and aluminium wall, where the open workshop with Qbo machinery is recreated.
In this way, visitors to FICO are able to follow the entire production process of the various processes, learning about the high degree of technology used and witnessing the quality of the result for themselves.
