Dal Bolognese in Rome: the decor of Italy's most Emilian restaurant
Rome, Italy
The Dal Bolognese restaurant has a long story to tell that began with Ettore Tomaselli and continued with his son Alfredo.
Located in a privileged location such as Piazza del Popolo in Rome, it is the place of politicians and celebrities, an exclusive and affectionate clientele and lovers of traditional Emilian cuisine, in a reserved and refined environment.
The restaurant consists of 4 dining rooms arranged on 2 floors and set up according to the number of guests, the presence or absence of smokers, and the degree of privacy required.
All of the restaurant's furnishings are designed to create an elegant yet cosy atmosphere: natural materials such as wood and leather sit alongside the lively Ferrari red of the seats and the refined fabric upholstery of the walls, which serve as a backdrop for a variety of paintings.
The walnut wood panelling is a piece of the restaurant's history. Carefully restored, it has returned to provide the warmth of a hospitable ambience.
In a corner of the large dining room, you will find the preparation corner for hors d'oeuvres and desserts, prepared in full view by the chef.
Completing the restaurant's spaces is an open-air dehor from which you can enjoy the unique scenery of one of the most beautiful squares in the world.
Dal Bolognese is not only a restaurant where you can eat well, but also a place of refreshment, meeting and exchange.
To offer the best hospitality, but also the privacy required by such an exclusive clientele, various solutions have been adopted.
One of these is the use of sound-absorbing panels in the false ceiling to dampen the noise and voices of people, or glass screens to create intimate environments, such as the presidential dining room, often used by celebrities and politicians of international calibre such as Saddam Ussein.
