Hotel Sans Souci: the renovated rooms of the 4-star hotel with sea view
Gabicce Mare, Italy
A privileged view of the sea was the source of inspiration for the redesign of the rooms at the 4-star Hotel Sans Souci in Gabicce Mare.
The transparency of glass, the lustre of ceramics and the reflective surface of brass: the materials used in the furnishings have characteristics that can also be found in the "water" element.
The rooms have been designed with an essential design with clean lines and light, natural colours, but with striking formal solutions.
One of these, for example, is the large Calacatta ceramic wall cladding that acts as a headboard for the bed and creates a bright, modern and elegant ambience.
Another solution that is successful both aesthetically and functionally is the bathroom partition in thick tempered glass, partially covered with vertical solid wood slats that screen the large shower and add a touch of style to the entire room.
Various accessories, such as the bedside tables with curved corten steel feet and the matching console table, have been designed especially for the hotel.
One of the customer's requests, was the creation of special storage compartments and wardrobe cabinets equipped both for storing clothes and for housing technical compartments (electrical panels, safe, TV compartment...).
Some of these are made with open shelves, others are closed spaces with glass doors using "Stopsol" technology (solar-controlled pyrolytic glass) framed with corten-finish aluminium frames.
