Luxury becomes magnificence in Villa Tambov
Tambov, Russia
At Villa Tambov, everything is opulence, magnificence, sumptuousness.
This was the customer's wish, and we worked with various craftsmen under the guidance of architect Baldantoni to satisfy every request, even the most demanding.
To arrive at such a project, every piece of furniture and accessory was custom-made using a variety of materials with very special workmanship.
In the entrance hall, an important wooden door decorated with historiated stained-glass windows stands out. The richly decorated suspended ceiling frames a wall painting with a classical theme.
Baroque-style suspended ceilings alternate with wooden coffered ceilings. And the floors are no less impressive: some in marble with polychromatic decorative inlays, others in wood finely crafted by excellent master cabinet-makers.
The rooms are large and bright, some divided by semicircular walls decorated with stuccoes, friezes, columns and tapestries.
The large reception hall is lined with full-height wood panelling, giving the room a more austere and rigorous tone.
The kitchen is also entirely made-to-measure, clad with gold-stained lacquered wood panelling and equipped with top-of-the-range appliances from the famous Gaggenau brand.
A majestic marble staircase, screened by a wrought-iron bannister inlaid with Carrara marble and gold leaf elements, leads to the first floor where the opulent bedrooms with four-poster beds worthy of a prince are located.
Among the many special features of the finishes, the workmanship of the interior leaded glass windows stands out, made of shaped glass in different colours and welded piece by piece to compose a tale of illustrated scenes that echo the stained glass windows of the most beautiful European cathedrals.
